Grandparents Foundation Inc
“Grandparents Foundation Inc. (GFI) was established in 2010 under the leadership and vision of Mic Willis, Founder and CEO. Since its inception, the organization has been dedicated to supporting grandparents raising grandchildren, assisting veterans, and empowering youth transitioning out of the foster care system. Mic has remained steadfast in her mission, independently investing her time, resources, and commitment over the years to serve these communities.
Having experienced hardship herself while growing up in a single-parent household, and witnessing firsthand the struggles of families—particularly grandparents raising grandchildren in poverty—Mic brings both empathy and lived experience to her work. Through her personal testimony and unwavering dedication, she continues to transform her vision into meaningful action, creating pathways of support, stability, and hope for others.
Our mission
Grandparents Foundation Inc. is committed to sustainability and dedicated to providing support to grandparents raising their grandchildren, veterans, as well as aged-out youth living below poverty. GFI Believes the world we want tomorrow, starts with the foundation we build today. We are as committed as ever to the Critical Actions Needed to create opportunities for a pathway out of poverty and to tackle the environmental and societal threats our community faces.
